Happy Womb Slaves Day!
Joy Reid of MSNBC is pretty upset about the overturning of Roe vs. Wade. Recently she spoke about how Republicans are attempting to turn women into “womb slaves” because they won’t be able to get abortions as easily.
What a breath of fresh air. It’s great to finally hear someone say what everyone is thinking. A child isn’t a gift; it’s a slave master. Having children isn’t one of the most blessed things we can hope to have, but the beginning of a terrible curse. Serving and caring for someone else, or raising a tiny human life, and taking it into adulthood is one of the worst possible things that we could ever go through. Yuck.
How unfulfilling of an existence is that? Life isn’t about serving or leaving the world better than before. It’s about having the freedom to care about no one else but ourselves. Anything or anyone that gets in the way of that, even if it’s an innocent child (that we are responsible for), is totally lame.
So on this important holiday, let us all honor Joy Reid, one of our greatest living role models, as we wish all those women out there (who were stupid enough to have children) a Happy Womb Slave’s Day! It’s because of your enslavement that we are all here today.
